Spring GLO (After-School Program) Starts on Monday, January 26

Registration Information Coming Soon
Our spring semester of our Great Learning Opportunities (GLO) Program kicks off on Monday, January 26. We are in the process of securing previous after-school partners, along with new folks who would like to work with us this semester. If you are a parent interested in teaching a 6-week class after school, please let me know. Additionally, if there are community partners you’re aware of and would like to join our GLO program, please contact Principal Ruiz. Thanks and we look forward to an exciting after-school program again this semester.

Upcoming Tours of Gullett for New and Prospective Parents

Monday, January 12 and Friday, January 23, 8:30 AM, Main Hallway/Cafeteria
Tours are scheduled for all new kindergarten and new/prospective parents to Gullett. They start at 8:30 AM in the main hallway/cafeteria area with general information about the Gullett community, followed by a fun and exciting tour of the campus. We usually conclude in the library with a question and answer session, ending around 10:00 AM. If these tour dates don’t work, please contact the office to set up something individually.

Tuition-Based PreK Registration Now Open

Registration open until February 20, 2015
Registration packets are in our front office and it, along with all the required paperwork, needs to be returned by February 20 for a student to be in the first round lottery (if Gullett has one). Again, please help spread the word that our FABULOUS PreK Program will have 28 available openings to the community for the 2015-2016 school year. Thanks for your support of our little classes-to-be!

AISD Transfer Window Open January 5 – 30

Applications for priority and non-priority transfers for the 2015-2016 school year must be submitted by January 30, (to AISD central office) to be considered for the first round lottery process. This is important for all students wanting to attend Gullett who are outside our campus-zoned boundaries and for exiting 5th graders wanting to transfer to Lamar, if not residing in the McCallum Vertical Team area. For students interested in attending Gullett, we are frozen at all grade levels for 2015-2016 except Kindergarten and 2nd Grade. Transfer forms are available in the front office. If you have questions, please contact Kim Schneider, our clerk, at 512-414-2082. Information on the transfer process may be found at the AISD website or by calling the Office of Student Services/Records at (512) 414-1726.
