Veterans Day Color Fun Run!

The Gullett Fun Run benefits the 5th Grade Legacy Project. Don’t forget to wear a white t-shirt! You will have chalk colors of the flag thrown at you throughout the course stations.

November 11, 2017 – 8:30 am. Cost is $12 per runner in advance; $15 after Nov. 9th. Children 3 years and younger are free.

Fifth Grade Legacy Project Fundraiser

School Tours

On the first Tuesday of every month we will be doing school tours. Our interim Principal Tisha Brown will take you on a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have. The tour is from 8:30 – 9:00.

You are welcome just to show up the morning of a few minutes before 8:30 am so we can get you
signed in. If you have any questions feel free to contact the office at 512-414-2082.

Reflections

Come by the front office and get an application to participate in Reflections! Students in all grades and of all abilities can create a unique work of art to compete locally, state-wide and nationally for recognition. Submit an entry in one of the following categories: Visual Art, Writing, Music Composition, Film Production, Photography, and Dance Choreography. Application with instructions and rules can be found in the office or online here.

Deadline for entries is Monday Oct. 23.

Annual Fall Carnival September 23rd!

Join us for our annual Fall Carnival on Saturday, September 23rd from 12:00 – 4:00 at Gullett!

This year’s Carnival will feature: 

  • Our 5th grade Midway under a red and white striped Big Top
  • TWO carnival rides – Swings & Tea Cups
  • A petting zoo & lots of other games and activities for kids of all ages, Geckos, Future Geckos & Alumni
  • Great food & fun for the whole family

ALL access wristbands for only $25! 

  • Ticket & wristbands will go on-sale before & after school on Sept. 21st & 22nd
  • Avoid the lines & buy your wristbands early

Parent Education: Screenagers at the Alamo!

Join us on October 4 at the Alamo Drafthouse for the first in a series of PTA sponsored parent education events focused on raising children in the digital age.

Screenagers introduces questions and offers insight into the challenges of parenting “digital natives”. Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, Screenagers reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. We’ve invited a panel of specialists for discussion and Q&A after the movie. We encourage you to bring your upper grade (4th/5th) students and older children as well.
